1. Which TOG values do Mababu sleeping bags come in, and what does that mean?
We offer sleeping bags in 0.5 TOG, 1.5 TOG and 2.5 TOG. The TOG value indicates the thermal insulation of the sleeping bag. 0.5 TOG is ideal for warm summer nights, 1.5 TOG for the in-between seasons, and 2.5 TOG keeps your baby warm on cool nights.
2. What materials are the sleeping bags made from?
All our sleeping bags are made from 100% organic cotton and are GOTS-certified (Global Organic Textile Standard). The standard sets requirements for how the cotton is grown, the chemicals used in processing and the social standards in the factory.
3. How do I choose the right sleeping bag size for my baby?
Our sleeping bags are available in different lengths, tailored to babies and toddlers up to 3 years. Choose the size based on your child's height.
4. Can the sleeping bags be machine-washed and tumble-dried?
Yes, you can wash all our sleeping bags on a gentle cycle at 40 degrees and also tumble-dry them on a gentle setting.
5. Can the sleeves of the sleeping bags be removed?
Yes, the sleeping bags have removable sleeves, which makes them adaptable to different temperatures and increases your baby's comfort.
6. What filling is used in the sleeping bags?
Our sleeping bags are filled with 100% polyester wadding, which provides good thermal insulation without affecting breathability. The filling does not come into contact with your child's skin, as it is completely enclosed by our organic cotton fabric.
7. How safe are the sleeping bags for my baby?
Safety is our top priority. Our sleeping bags have reverse YKK zips and protective collars to prevent irritation and increase safety.
8. What should my child wear under the sleeping bag?
The clothing under the sleeping bag should be adjusted to the temperature. In cooler temperatures pyjamas can make sense, in warmer ones just a bodysuit. Take into account the TOG value of the sleeping bag and the room temperature to avoid overheating or getting too cold.
9. What is the included fabric bag for?
The included fabric bag, also made from 100% organic cotton, is ideal for storing and carrying the sleeping bag. It is also great for other baby essentials or as reusable gift packaging.
10. Is the extended zip safe for my child?
Yes, the extended zip on our sleeping bags is safe and comfortable for your child. It was specially developed so that it doesn't touch or bother the skin. An additional piece of fabric acts as a buffer and protects against direct contact with the zip pull. This design also makes nappy changes much easier and is a real advantage in everyday use.
